Natural & Recycled Materials
Our plastic threads are the leftover coming from plastic prayer rug factory. We choose the colors fitting to our designs and purchase from them. Our basket manufacturing women coil around the bunch of half dried seagrass straws. When coiling, they use a thick needle so that the plastic thread goes through two rows of straws to be sewn. This technique allows us to have very sturdy baskets.
